Aide: Reports Of Alan Kyeremanten’s Resignation Are False

An aide to Trade Minister Alan Kyerementen, Davis Opoku Ansah, has debunked rumours that ‘Alan Cash’ is looking to resign from his post due to clashes with President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Taking to Facebook Tuesday, Opoku Ansah said nothing could be further from the truth.

A report by the NDC leaning paper the Al-Hajj claimed that the former NPP presidential aspirant was on the verge of resigning as he had no power and authority at the Trade Ministry.

The paper claimed that the President was making all appointments to the Ministry and Alan Cash had little or no authority.

But in a Facebook post, the aide said Alan had no intention on resigning and called on the public to disregard the reports.

Since morning, I’ve received calls from friends about a supposed resignation of Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen as Trade Minister.

Ignore such lies. He’s comfortable with his role and relation with the President. He’s currently out of the country to prepare the grounds for the trip of the President to the sub Region.
