Dutch-born Ghanaian midfielder Jeffrey Sarpong netted a consolation goal for NAC Breda who were humiliated 5-1 by FC Utrecht at their own backyard in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday evening.
The 26-year-old turned in a pass in the 37th minute to level the scoring 1-1 for Breda, but the visitors proved too lethal for them, restoring their lead before the break and scoring three more within the second 45 minutes.
Breda have hit a poor run of form in the Eredivisie, failing to pick a point from any of their last four games and slipping to second from bottom.
Sarpong, who netted the consolation goal completed the game for Breda but Italian youth international of Ghanaian descent, Kingsley Boateng dropped to the bench and came off in the 70th minute to play for Breda.
