Meet Ghana's First Ever Female Brigadier General

  • The Ghana Armed Forces has promoted Constance Ama Emefa Edjeani-Afenu to the role of Brigadier General.
  • This makes her the first ever woman to have taken the prestigious role.

The Ghana Armed Forces can now boast of its first ever female Brigadier, General, Constance Ama Emefa Edjeani-Afenu.

Ama Emefa Edjeani-Afemu is documented to be the current Deputy Military Advisor to Ghana’s Permanent Mission in New York.

Meawhile thousands of Ama’s female supporters have taken to social media congratulating her upon her promotion by the top hierrachy of the Armed Forces.

The Ghana Armed Forces was founded in 1957 and has three main offshoots – the Navy, Air Force and Army besides the President’s own guard regiment.
