Medeama SC arrived in DR Congo ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup opening group tie against TP Mazembe on Friday, after their flight delayed for more than two hours in Nairobi.

The West African powerhouse made their way to the Grande Karavia Hotel in Lubumbashi where the players have retired to their rooms.

The players appear exhausted from the long journey coupled with an undue delay at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

Coach Prince Owusu has cancelled the team’s arranged training on Friday evening to allow the players enjoy enough rest.

The team will train at the Stade TP Mazembe on Saturday before the big showdown Sunday.

The two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders want to announce their presence on the continent with a big performance against the five-time African champions.

Kick-off is 3:30 local time (2:30 Ghana time).
