Goldstar and Baltimore Airport to discuss a deal

This would enable the aircrafts of the company land free and park for a period of two years.

Speaking to journalists in Accra, Mr John Ashong-Mettle, Head of Public Relations of Seasons Travel and Tours, operators of Goldstar Air, said the Baltimore authorities have also given Goldstar Air an office space together with other incentives.

He said Mr Eric Bannerman, Chief Executive Officer, who returned recently from the US, was grateful to the Director of Air Service Development and Strategic Analysis at the Airport, adding that massive investments of efforts, time and money have gone into the pursuit for the past three years.

He announced the company would soon be meeting with journalists, employees and yet to be trained cabin crew to brief them about the state of affairs of the airline.

The PRO said the company’s pride and joy of creating jobs is not speech-making, taking into account that Goldstar Air has supported many projects in the country since its inception.

Mr Ashong-Mettle said while in the US, Mr Bannerman signed a pact for the company to earmark a site in Tamale, to build a hangar “for our aircrafts and other wide bodies aircrafts for servicing and repair works.

The hangar, which would become a certified repair station for all aircrafts would serve as the company’s training college and also create employment opportunities to the country and the sub-region and Africa as a whole.

“We are at the verge of completing our certification in order for Ghanaians to enjoy the best bet regarding our mouth-watering products and packages ranging from the movies, dishes to the local languages and our free three checked in bags during our flights to the destinations earmarked,” Mr Ashong-Mettle said.

He announce that the company has settled on next month to begin interviewing the applicants who have put in applications for the post of cabin crew after which the qualified ones would be sent to the regulating body for their training.
