Because, every day, Nigeria finds a way to disgrace us.
We already know Nigeria is corrupt. Recently, the sum of 9 million dollars in cash was recovered from Andrew Yakubu, and every other day, EFCC manages to recover money from politicians to the tune of millions of dollars. And they’ll come and tell us there’s a recession and the dollar is expensive.
While we were wondering when Buhari is going to come back and trying to keep up with all the crazy things happening in Nigeria, US news declared Nigeria as the most corrupt country in the world based on perception. According to them:
Nigeria, the most populated country in Africa, is perceived to be the most corrupt among 60 countries evaluated, according to data from the 2016 Best Countries rankings. The rankings are a characterization of 60 countries based on a survey of more than 16,000 people from four regions.
