Abba Investments in partnership with Wilmar Africa Limited, producers of Frytol and Fortune rice have organised the 2017 edition of its F14 Val’s Cooperate Social Responsibility Cooking and Donation project in Accra.
The event was attended by children, parents and staffs of the Princess Marie Louis Children’s Hospital in Accra, whereas, they were surprised by having their favourite celebrities cook for them, in line with the Valentine’s Day Celebration.
Addressing the media after the event, Mr Gideon Kwamla Oyiadzo (Jingles), Operations Director at Abba Investments, said the platform presented an opportunity to share during this Valentine season notwithstanding our status in life, health or financial challenges.
He said the initiative was organised to cheer up parents and the teaching staff while reassuring them that all was well and that there was enough love to share.
The Operations Director noted that it was such a scene to see Kalybos, Akuma Mama Zimbi, Mzvee and Abena Ruthie cooking and entertaining the kids, adding that; “it was refreshing to have all these celebrities spend their time with the kids”.
As the popular comedian Kalybos in his usual “walaba you” style got everyone excited as though he was in character in one of his ‘Boys Kasa’ videos whilst Mama Zimbi chose to dish out helpful advice to the parents present, to help ease the pressure of caring for their sick children.
It was nice to see Mzvee play the role of chief server and an emotional motivational speaker at the event with Abena Ruthie, serving as the chief cook.
As part of the event, Wilmar Africa Limited donated an amount of GHC5000.00 as well as products from Wilmar Africa Limited to the management of the Hospital, to support their activities.
Dr Eric Sifah, Medical Superintendent at the Princess Marie Louis Children’s Hospital who received the donation expressed gratitude to the organisers for the kind gesture.
Abba Investments is a project management outfit with the F14 Concert as one of its key flagship programmes.
The F14 Valentine CSR Celebrity Cooking was introduced last year to give billed artistes for the F14 Concert the opportunity to contribute their quota to the welfare of patients at the Princess Marie Louis Children’s Hospital, whilst they encourage the hard working nurses to work harder.
