President Muhammadu BuhariPresident Muhammadu Buhari— President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday said results of medical tests showed he needed more time to rest, a development which has necessitated his stay in the United Kingdom longer than originally planned.

Buhari, who said “there is no cause for worry” in a statement, expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their “show of love and concern.” (The Guardian)

— The Nigerian government on Tuesday ruled out the option of obtaining any loan facility from the International Monetary Fund, stating that the country was not having a balance of payment problem.
