Actors In Government Asked To Live Above Reproach

Apostle Kadmil E.H. Agbalanyoh, the Head of the Church of Theocracy at Homedakrom-Atiakrom has called on actors in government to live above reproach and help President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to fulfill his campaign promises to Ghanaians.

He said Ministers and Members of Parliament should learn to “plant before harvesting” and by so doing they would be assisting the President to achieve his vision and the aspiration of the citizenry.

Apostle Agbalanyoh made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Homedakrom-Atiakrom, near Nsakye in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region.

This was after President Akufo-Addo had presented his maiden State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Tuesday.

Apostle Agbalanyoh said: “The President’s vision of one district one dam and one factory would come true if all the actors in government play their roles effectively devoid of negative acts that may drawback the progress of the nation.”

He said God has blessed Ghana with agricultural resources which could be harnessed to create job opportunities for the people, mentioning Kwae in the Eastern Region with vast palm plantation for oil factory.

He said the Northern territories had cattle for corned beef factory as well as for the Ashanti Shoe Factory. The Nsawam Cannery could be rehabilitated to help pineapple and orange farmers.

The Somanya Krobo Odumase area could get a factory for mango farmers, factory for Asesewa for sugar cane farmers whilst the youth at places like Kibi, Akwatia and others could be mobilised to dig dams for farming purposes instead of illegal mining (galamsey).

He said chocolate factories should be established at cocoa growing areas, the Aboss Glass Factory needed to be rehabilitated as well as the Rubber Plantation at Kade, Ada Salt Factory, Kade Marches Factory, Densu Cassava Factory at Nsawam among others.

Apostle Agbalanyoh said when the districts were put into agricultural industrialisation the rural-urban drift of the youth would be eradicated as they could get job opportunities at their door steps.
