Popstar Selena Gomez has opened up about her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber after his arrest this week, saying she will “always care” about him – no matter what!
The ‘Baby’ hitmaker was arrested yesterday for drag racing, DUI and resisting arrest.
Speaking to the MailOnline at The Sundance Film Festival earlier this week, Selena reportedly told the website she hoped her ex will “come out the otherside” when referring the his last few difficult weeks.
“Part of life and growing up are going through things that aren’t comfortable – and you hope you come out the other side a stronger person,” Gomez said.
“I will always care about Justin no matter what – my instinct after all we have been through is to protect him from any harm,” she added. “Whatever he is going through I want him to come out of it stronger.”
The 19-year-old heartthrob appeared in court yesterday via video link and also posed for a series of mugshots, one of which he can be seen smiling broadly.
The ‘All That Matters’ singer failed a sobriety test after being stopped by officers and is also said to have swore during his arrest.
The Canadian star has now been released on bail after posting bond of $2,500 and is believed to have returned to Los Angeles.
The pair recently sparked rumours of getting back together after the two popstar were spotted riding on Segways near Bieber’s Calabasas home earlier this month.
Bieber even took to Instagram to post a cute snap of their pair spending some quality time with each other.
Along with the recent snap, Justin captioned it as: “Love the way you look at me”.
