Class FM, XYZ face possible defamatory suits; have 48 hours to apologise

Lawyers for the Upper East Region Minister Rockson Bukari are demanding a retraction and an apology from the Northern Region Chairman of the NPP Bugri Naabu, and two media houses- Accra Radio XYZ and Class FM for defaming the minister.

A statement signed by Samson Lardy Anyenini of [email protected] said the two stations have until 48 hours to provide a written retraction and apology or face the consequences.

The stations are accused of publishing an allegation made by the Northern Region Chairman of the NPP, Bugri Naabu, that the minister masterminded the murder of Adams Mahama, a former Upper East Chairman of the NPP.

Lardy Anyenini insists the felonious claim is “completely false” and that his client is “never remotely” linked to the dastardly acid attack in 2016 which led to the death of the Upper East Regional Chairman of the NPP.
