'Liberty Professionals would get better in the second round' – Samuel Sarfo

Accra, May 9, GNA – Samuel Sarfo, stalwart central defender of Liberty Professionals, has said his side will definitely improve in the second round of the season, since he is keen on ensuring that Liberty Professionals finish the league on a good note.

In an interview with the GNA Sports, Sarfo who doubles as an officer of the Ghanaian Police Service, attributed his good run of form to hard work, determination and dedication.

‘Dedication, hard work and determination are the reasons for my good form this season, nothing but just that. I have been working on my goal scoring abilities, because we see the European defenders scoring all the time, so what prevents us from doing it too. We are not far from that, we just have to watch them and learn.

‘I always watch fantastic center backs and their style of play, that’s the best way I could develop as a player

‘I have been great for Liberty so far, but I won’t take the glory alone, I want to see Liberty professionals place better on the league log. A position that would make the fans, the technical team, the management and everyone satisfied at the end of the season. I am not only thinking about scoring, but helping the team to improve.

‘We have not been that great this season, this is not the Liberty we used to know, but I know we would get better in the second round’. Samuel said.

The resurgent center back said he was now ready to represent the nation, if he is called by the head coach, but added he was not in a rush for a call up.

‘Coach Kwesi Appiah has watched many of our games, he knows what I can do, so if the time comes and Samuel Sarfo is called into the Black Stars, why not? But I am not in the rush for anything now, I just have to improve and grow as a player’. He added
