MP Celebrates Birthday With The Physically Challenged

The Member of Parliament of Tarkwa-Nsuaem constituency in the Western Region Hon. George Mireku Duker on Tuesday, 9th May , 2017 donated assorted items to some of the less privileged people in his constituency to commemorate his birthday after dining and wining with them.

Speaking at the function, the Member Of Parliament said he is on a mission to change the livelihood of the less privileged in his constituency through simple practical interventions.

He said there are people who lack basic necessities of life like food, clothing etc through no fault of theirs.

“People who suffer through poverty, neglect, hunger etc cannot fully enjoy their fundamental human rights” He reiterated.

Honourable George Mireku Duker pledged to reduce the dependency ratio of the less privileged in his constituency through empowerment and constant care as charity is a noble endeavor.

Receiving the items, the jubilant physically challenged some of whom were amputees, hunchbacks, cripples, blind etc thanked the MP for remembering and caring for them.

All over the world, most people celebrate their birthdays through distinctive humanitarian activities as a sign of humility and gratefulness to their maker.
