Staff of Standard Chartered Bank engaged residents in the Weija and Kasoa environs in preparation for the opening of a new smart branch at the West Hills Mall.
An official statement issued by the Bank and copied to the Ghana News Agency said: “The new branch is hinged on the Bank’s ongoing investment into digital infrastructure, while aligning with its focus on supporting the rapid expansion in key cities like Accra across its global footprint in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
“In 2016, Standard Chartered Bank announced more than USD 3bn investment into strategic opportunities, delivering new technology, and upgrading regulatory and conduct systems over the next three years.”
To the Bank, ‘Digitization’ is about cost savings, operational efficiencies, and convenience to clients and reducing operational risks for the benefit of Africa’s growth and economic development.
The statement said: “Standard Chartered is changing its branch network to reflect how people are living.
“It aims to be able to provide utmost convenience for clients, whiles they enjoy the very best of Standard Chartered’ suite of banking services.
“This ongoing digital revolution by Standard Chartered Bank is here for good.”
