GNPC Team pays courtesy call on Northern Regional Minister

Accra, May 27, GNA – A delegation from Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and the GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human has paid a courtesy call on Mr Salifu Saeed, the Northern Regional Minister at his residence in Tamale.

A statement issued by GNPC and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Saturday said the visit was to introduce the GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human and to brief him about the launch of the 2017 Championship and the open meet competition for the Northern, Upper East and Upper East Regions.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr Saeed expressed satisfaction over GNPC’s commitment to supporting athletics in the Region and Ghana at large.

He remarked that one of the things the Region needed was to build sustainable peace initiatives and believed this could be achieved through sports.

He therefore, advocated more sporting activities to keep the youth busy in the Region to mitigate conflicts.

Present at the meeting was Reks Brobby, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana’s Fastest Human, representatives from GNPC and media practitioners.
