PLB names six contenders for Nasco player and coach of the month

Accra, May 31, GNA – The Premier League Board (PLB), has named six contenders for Nasco Player and Coach of the Month for May.

According to a statement issued by the communication department of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Liberty Professionals’ stalwart defender Samuel Sarfo would face competition from Sam Adams of Dormaa based, Aduana Stars and Medeama’s goal poacher, Bernard Ofori for the prestigious player of the month award.

Meanwhile, Swedish tactician, Tom Marcus Strand, has been shortlisted for coach of the month award following an impressive start with Accra Great Olympics.

Strand faces competitions from Augustine Evans Adotey of Medeama Sporting Club and Yusif Abubakar, head coach of Aduana Stars for the award.

The winners would be announced before match day 17 of the Ghana premier league.

WAFA’s head coach, Klavs Rasmussen and Chelsea’s Stephen Sarfo won the coach and player of the month of April respectively.
