He promised to get rid of anybody living in the US illegally and he is not joking.
According to Onua FM’s correspondent at the Kotoka International Airport, 78 Ghanaians have just landed in handcuffs and are the second badge of immigrants to be deported from the US.
The deportees, all of which are males met with officials of the National Disaster Management Organisation (Nadmo), the Ghana Immigration Service and the Ghana Police Service upon arrival and were all given Ghc100 as transport fare to their various destinations.
The number of Ghanaians that have now been deported stands at 178 out of about 7000 who are expected to be deported over the first term of the Trump administration. Most of the deportees arrived with no belongings and claim they were seized by the US authorities.
