These are the scars and burns of the Rohingya refugees fleeing Myanmar

Harrowing images of Rohingya refugees, including many children, showing the injuries they have sustained while escaping violence in Myanmar have emerged.

It is estimated that more than 600,000 Rohingya refugees
have been forced to flee their homes in Myanmar.

Refugees have swept into Bangladesh in their thousands following horrific stories of rape, violence and persecution at the hands of Myanmar’s armed forces.

Since the violence erupted in August, Bangladeshi hospitals and international aid agencies have struggled to provide medical care.

Many have been travelling for weeks through dangerous forest and mountain terrain to reach neighbouring Muslim country Bangladesh.

The Bangladeshi government has just signed a deal with Myanmar to return hundreds of thousands of Rohingya Muslims who fled during the army crackdown.

But at refugee camps in Bangladesh, the scars of those who have fled are still raw.
