The Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Kwame Asiamah has disclosed that his outfit was spending $8000 every month to cater for the accommodation of the Black Stars coaches.
The Sports Ministry last acquired a permanent residence for the head coach in connection with the Ministry of Works and Housing.
According Hon. Asiamah, it was necessary for his outfit to get a permanent residence for the coach due to the high cost of rent and hotel bills accrued as a result of accommodating the national team coach.
Speaking at the Forum for the establishment of the National Sports Fund, Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah, disclosed that the move was necessary because the Ministry could no longer afford to spend such an amount on accommodating a Black Stars coach.
“We have just acquired a house to accommodate the Black Stars coach. Can you believe that we used to spend $8000 every month on accommodation for the Black Stars coach?
“Now with this house, we can save that money for other things,” he said.
