Organisers are planning a ‘Gaming for Grenfell’ event to bring the community together, and to give kids free games.
The event is scheduled for January 6 and is being supported by publishers including Nintendo, Ubisoft, and Bandai Namco. It will include games such as Super Mario Odyssey, Super Smash Bros., FIFA 18, and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
It’s being organised by British manga brand mayamada, in collaboration with local organisations such as the Rugby Portobello Trust and the East London’s Social Ark CIC, to support people affected by the tower fire.
‘We’ve run the event in East London and seen how gaming can bring people together in a really positive way. We wanted to take the event to West London and give something back to help make positive memories for the local community’, said mayamada co-founder Nigel Twumasi.
