Iraqis awarded damages due to abuse and unlawful detention by Ministry of Defence

Four Iraqi citizens have won damages against the Ministry of Defence due to ill-treatment and unlawful detention during the Iraq War.

Damages were awarded to each of them by a High Court judge in London.

One of the men was awarded more than £30,000 after Mr Justice Leggatt ruled that they were entitled to compensation under the Human Rights Act.
