Amazon opens ‘Go’ supermarket which replaces human workers with machines

Anyone who has been warned of an ‘unexpected item in the bagging area’ will know that automated cashiers are universally rubbish.

Now Amazon has opened a store which has done away with human staff altogether and leaves customers at the mercy of smart machines.

More than a year after it introduced the concept, Amazon is opening its artificial intelligence-powered Amazon Go store in downtown Seattle today.
