Households with no toilet facility either residential or commercial within the Ga South Municipality will soon be dealt with by the Municipal Assembly.
This is in the quest of the Assembly to ensure sanity and proper defecation of residents in the Municipality in efforts to ensure a clean and serene environment for the development and growth of the Assembly.
In an Exclusive interview with the Municipal Environmental Officer, Mrs. Patience Akasa, explained that the Assembly along with two Metropolitan and nine Municipality will be embarking on a project within their jurisdiction dubbed “One Household, One Toilet”.
The project took off with its official launch by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph Yarni, along with some dignitaries.
Under this project, One thousand toilets are expected to be built or provided to residents at a half price.
She noted that households that refuse to provide toilet facility for people in their houses will be prosecuted by the Assembly.
