Bitcoin fuelling trade in elephant tranquilliser drug so strong it’s considered a chemical weapon

The cryptocurrency Bitcoin is being used by digital drug dealers to peddle a scary type of opoid that’s strong enough to fell an elephant.

It’s believed Chinese drugs factories are churning out a super-strong synthetic chemical called carfentanil, which is normally used as an elephant tranquiliser and is so powerful it can be used a chemical weapon.

This drug is then exchanged for Bitcoin and simply posted to users.

An investigation revealed that sellers are open flogging the drug online and also offering advice on how advice on how to evade screening by U.S. authorities.
