Amos Frimpong Charges Teammates To Focus On Africa Campaign

Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong has urged his teammates to a cue from their loss to Aduana Stars in the Super Cup on Sunday ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

The MTN FA Cup champions lost 1-0 to Aduana Stars in the Super Cup that was staged at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday and Bright Adjei’s strike was enough to win the ultimate.

“Our games against Aduana are very high tensioned anytime we meet and today’s game was no exception,” he told reporters.

“Our target was to win the trophy but on the day there were lucky and took their chance and the game was keenly contested and we were determined to clinch the ultimate but things didn’t go our way.

“All is not lost; we still preparing and doing lots of correction ahead of our Confederations Cup opener which kicks starts in the next two weeks.”

The FA Cup champions will host Congolese giants CARA Brazzaville in the first leg of the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup preliminary stage in a fortnight.
