Donald Trump gave his first State of the Union address to a joint session of the United States Congress last night.

He addressed both his party – the Republican Party – and the opposition – the Democratic Party – in a speech lasting around 80 minutes.

As one of the most divisive US presidents in history, Trump called for ‘unity’ from politicians as his first chaotic year came to a close.
