Scientists using 3D printing have invented a series of false ears for children born without them

Scientists in China are using 3D printing and cultured cells to grow new ears for children born with defected ears.

By collecting cells called chondrocytes from the children’s ears, they were able to use them to grow new cartilage based on 3D-printed models of healthy ears.
