Aldi has removed 38,000 bags of frozen vegetables of its shelves after a customer found half a rat inside one.
The supermarket giant issued a recall for the bags after a grandma found bits of rodent in the product while feeding her two-year-old granddaughter lunch.
Pat Bateman, 60, said finding the pieces of rodent left her feeling ‘physically sick’.
She told The Sun: ‘We had eaten almost all of the bag before we saw it – and what’s even worse – I fed it to my youngest granddaughter.
