An academy ‘superhead’ who hit the headlines for banning fake tan and false lashes at one of his schools has died.
Gary Vyse, who was in his mid-30s, ran six academies as chief executive of the Williamson Trust in Medway, Kent.
He passed away at his home on Monday, and the cause of his death is as yet unknown.
Mr Vyse made headlines in 2016 when he criticised parents for letting their children wear heavy lipstick and foundation to school at the Hundred Of Hoo Academy, telling both parents and pupils that ‘school is not a fashion parade’.
