2018 CONFED. CUP: Felix Annan Optimistic Of Qualfying Ahead Of CARA

Asante Kotoko shot-stopper, Felix Annan is optimistic about his side qualifying for the next round of the next phase of the CAF Confederation Cup encounter ahead of the second leg clash against CARA Club.

The FA Cup champions recorded a 1:0 over the Congolese in the first league held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Sunday.

Many football enthusiasts believes that the Reds campaign in the competition could come to an end in the Central African nation due to their failure to win the first leg by a bigger margin despite being rewarded four penalties in the match at home.

But the agile custodian believes they can defy the odds and advance to the second round of the competition at the expense of the Congolese side in their own backyard.

“We are not afraid of them [CARA] in the second league. We have prepared very well ahead of the game and we’ll need our fans support and prayers to qualify,” Annan told Angel FM

“I don’t believe in Juju. The referee had all the penalties, he awarded in the first league at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium right.

“As I earlier said, the fans should continue praying for us to make it to next round of the competition.”

The second leg encounter will take place on 21st February 2018 in Congo.
