Petr Cech has apologised for his role in Arsenal’s surprise defeat to Brighton on Sunday and admits he was at fault for both goals in the 2-1 loss.

Arsenal arrived at the Amex Stadium off the back of three straight defeats – including back-to-back 3-0 losses to Manchester City in both the Carabao Cup and the Premier League.

And they fell behind after just seven minutes against Brighton when Cech flapped at a corner and allowed centre-back Lewis Dunk to power the ball into the back of the net.
