Work on the Adamsu-Zezera-Baanafour-Kofiko Road in the Jaman South is progressing steadily with the South a Ghanaian construction firm Alexiboam hoping to complete the construction of the entire stretch in earnest.
The 31.7km road was awarded to the above contractor some few months ago by the Government of Ghana through the instrumentality of the Member of Parliament in the area Hon Yaw Aful.
Residents, motorists and drivers could not hide their satisfaction since the only time this stretch is seeing a facelift on their roads is under this administration.
“We would make sure the president and the MP are given another 4years to continue their work”, a cashew farmer excitedly said.
All four major roads in the constituency have been awarded on contract and contractors on site except Atuna- Kwameprakrom which is under PPA processes is getting ready to be awarded to a contractor on a restrictive tender.
The Drobo-Japekrom town roads which is 6.10km has also been awarded to a contractor who has also indicated his readiness to begin work in earnest.
“The President through the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta indicated in the 2020 budget that this year is a year of roads and it’s my duty as the people’s representative to lobby for our roads to be captured and that is exactly what we are seeing now”, the MP said.
Jaman South constituency has benefited in total over 120km roads to be constructed and tarred under this administration in just 3 years which has never happened since independence.
The MP expressed his readiness to continue working with the constituents to bringing more projects to the area.
