The family of six(6) who perished in an accident last Monday 2nd March at Suhum’s funeral poster has surfaced on the internet.

According to the information on the funeral poster, the families’ one celebration will be held on Sunday, 15th March 2020 at Orphanage Park, behind Junction Mall Nungua Barrier.


The sad incident occurred at Obretema, near Suhum, on the Accra-Kumasi highway, in the Eastern Region, on Monday evening around 8:40 pm.

According to eyewitness narration, a man whose name has been given as Elder George Obed Nyarko joined his inlaw with his son, Obed Nyarko Jnr. to travel from Kumasi to Accra. The inlaw also identified as Madam Adjei Prempeh moved along with her 3 children after attending a funeral at Kumasi.

The eyewitness revealed that on their way home, an articulated truck made a wrong overtaking and collided head-on with the pickup truck which had this family, at the spot 5 of them died.

Speaking to Browngh.com, the eyewitness noted that Prince Adjei Prempeh, a boy who also got involved in the same accident was trapped in the vehicle for about 2 hours before he was rescued.

According to him, it took the towing car about 1hour and 30 minutes to get to the accident scene whilst it was stationed just 4 kilometers away from the scene.
