The first President of the Fourth Republic and the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ft. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings has been spotted on Social Media specifically on Facebook, with a little girl deemed to be his granddaughter with the sign indicating the second return of the current leader and flagbearer of the NDC, former President John Dramani Mahama.
As a matter of concern, every one may have been thinking that former President Jerry John Rawlings is in a real big dilemma as to whether to endorse his wife Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings who is the leader and flagbearer of the National Democratic Party (NDP) or former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of his own founded party. This has therefore concluded that Papa J, as affectionately called, is still in support of his daughter’s NDC and not his wife’s NDP.
Whilst many believed that former President Jerry John Rawlings may still be in touch with the NDC because of Zanetor Rawlings, his oldest daughter, who doubles as the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Klottey-Korley Constituency, others asserts that he cannot just forsake his own party no matter what.
On Monday, October 19, the Electoral Commission released the presidential ballot paper and John Mahama secured the second position. This was interpreted as his second coming. Therefore, every party member decides to endorse JM by showing two fingers up. This was exactly what Papa J did. JJ Rawlings will always love and support his party.
