Ghana maybe finding a cure for the deadly coronavirus outbreak as a set of three new herbal medicines have been presented to the Noguchi Memorial Institute for testing by the Amen Scientific Herbal Hospital.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the award-winning facility Dr. Amin Osei Bonsu told Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that the facility recently treated a quarantined person with some symptoms of the coronavirus and the person have recovered fully.
According to him, they submitted the drugs to the facility after it turned out to be effective on the quarantined person.
Dr. Amin Bonsu was optimistic that the drugs would be effective and serve as a cure for the deadly virus which has so far killed 3 persons in Ghana and affected 68 persons.
The three drugs he revealed include an immune booster, capsules for treatment of sore troat and other ailments and third one for treating fever.
He said: “When the outbreak came into Ghana, as a facility, we prayed and sought God’s guidance and we were able I identify these drugs. We have been able to treat a quarantined person who showed signs of the disease. The drugs proved effective and totally cured the person of all the symptoms. We have submitted the drugs for testing. As I speak to you, I will be submitting samples at the Ministry of Health. I optimistic that by the grace of Allah, these drugs would be approved as treatment and cure for the disease.”
