Do you know what is going on today in the country under the camp on Mr Jerry John Rawlings? If you do not know, then it is the final funeral rites of the late mother of the formal president of Ghana who hails from the Volta Region.

This is indeed a sad situation the whole country is finding herself in but as we all know, there is nothing we can do about it as God has called her to rest in peace. Mrs Victory Agbotui was able to reach 101 years which is not an easy way to travel as she has passed. Thus no man can reverse it and through this, the normal funeral rites is still in progress as sadness has filled the hearts of many people as at now.

Notwithstanding this, I think the people or the family of our deceased mother has something to show us. There are some events going on here that many has not yet seen. This is all about some rituals going on. Due to the cultures of the Volta region, the celebration of the sad event has turn into a scene of education where people have began seeing new things from the people of the Volta(Ewes).

There are lost of beautiful women here at which some are holding something in hands, some also carries something like pots on the head and hand, other are also singing very loudly in their local language and it a very beautiful one. Below are some display of the incident as the woman is laid in public for people to pay their last respect.

These and many are some unusable things we are seeing as the funeral of JJ Rawlings mother is in progress. May her soul rest in peace.
