The Bolgatanga Polytechnic in the Upper East Region has now been elevated to the status of a Technical University.

Parliament on Thursday night amended the Technical Universities Act(922) which has effectively converted the Bolgatanga Polytechnic and the Wa Polytechnic in the Upper West Region to Technical Universities.

A Member of Parliament’s Select committee on education and National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament for Builsa South Dr. Clement Apaak said in an interview on A1 Radio in Bolgatanga that “This is a great achievement for us and students of the two institutions must surely be jubilating.”
