The MP for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, has been summoned by an Accra High Court to explain the claim he made that, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the MP for Ajumako – Enyan – Esiam is connected to an attempted assassination.
The legal action was taken by Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson against Hon. Kennedy Agyapong. In an interview on Net 2 Tv, on 26th October, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong alleged that Dr. Forson contracted suspects to execute an assassination attempt on the Gender Minister, Hon. Cynthia Morrison.
He alleged who have been arrested by the police reported to the police that they were sent by Dr. Forson to carry out the operation. According to a statement sign on 27th October, 2020, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is expected to appear before the court in 8 days.
The statement further detailed that if he refuses to appear, judgement may be taken in his absence without giving him further notice.
