The Ghana Police Service says it arrested a newly wedded couple and 29 others at a marriage ceremony at Darkuman in Accra on Sunday as part of measures in enforcing the lockdown.
This arrest comes after over forty-nine (49) people were arrested in Obuasi at a wedding on Saturday in a similar operation.
Making this known to the media, DSP Afia Tenge Greater Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) said the Police had a tip-off that there was a marriage ceremony ongoing at Darkuman so some of their men were sent there.
The Police Chief said although their personnel could not arrest all of the people present, they were able to pick up 29 including the couple.
She added that they have been cautioned and granted police inquiry bail and will be arraigned before court this week for defying the orders of the President.
