Some of the people on board the two vehicles that were intercepted in Nkwanta
from Accra after the ban on lockdown were lifted were allowed into their communities to mix with the people without quarantine.
Some of the 17 passengers tested positive were from Nanumba North and South, and Yendi municipality.
The investigations made revealed that especially those in Nanumba North and South, Nkwanta North went into their communities and lived with the people for one week and after the results came positive some of them were sent to Bimbilla Hospital but others as of April 26 were still in the communities mixed with others.
The worrying issue is that their Communities are rural areas and the people are doing everything together.
The information available indicates that the DCE for Nanumba South and the Health Director had wanted to isolate the patients in a Community Day SHS block in Nakpayili but the residents resisted the Decision.
In Nanumba North, the two have however been isolated In a facility in Bimbilla.
Contact tracing with their families have commenced.
In the Nanumba South which has 3 cases, some of the patients are still in their communities.
