See What Donald Trump Just Tweeted – Could His Supporters Go On Rampage?

Let’s pray that for either result of the 2020 American Presidential election, the loser gracefully concedes defeat for the good of the country. That is the normal process that has been followed for decades. …But… the reason we’re asking the above question, is due to disturbing reasons.

Pres. Trump has for months now been trashing the reputation of the election, and predicting that if he loses it will be due to Democrats stealing the election. Pres. Trump has repeatedly refused to promise to gracefully accept defeat or commit to a smooth transfer of power. Instead Pres. Trump has repeatedly pushed the idea that the election will be fraudulently taken from him, and has encouraged heavily armed so-called Patriots to be ready for some action, and has promised there will be a huge legal battle, probably going to the Supreme Court.

Claims that “will his supporters go on a rampage” is “a ‘left’ thing” and that “If DJT does eventually lose, Americans will go back to work”.

I agree that that answer is what would happen in normal circumstances if the losing President were to follow the norms. BUT, when has Pres. Trump ever followed norms? When has Pres. Trump ever done anything but bluster and use every legal machination available to try and twist the results to his advantage?

There is serious doubt … well, here’s some of his tweets:

In other words, Pres. Trump is lying and blustering and claiming results that are not settled. So much so that Twitter is taking the extra step of labeling his tweets as saying things which are disputed or might be misleading.

Here’s one:

Thing is – that’s an outright lie. First, the times that votes can be cast after polls close is the times when there is still a line at a polling place. The principle is that everyone must have an opportunity to vote, so those in line get to vote even if it’s after the official closing time.
