The West African Examination Council (WAEC) on their Twitter platform today, 12th November 2020 has given many reasons as to why the results of West Africa School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has partially released.
According to West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), Results are partially released due to queries arising from one or a combination of the following mistakes:
The first mistake has to do with the wrong transfer of examination numbers in one or more papers.
The second mistake according to the West African Examination Council is (WAEC) is the students failure to shade the examination numbers. Some students after finish writing the paper forgot to shade the examination numbers.
Thirdly, shading objective sheets with biro pens instead of pencil. Objective sheets provided by waec are not supposed to be shaded with any other ink apart from pen and students are always advices on that before they write the exam.
Most students keeps repeating this mistake by violating the rules of waec, shading on the objective sheets with different inks, which gives weac a difficult work to do since their machine for marking is set to mark only the work of pencils.
Again, mistakes in enteries leading to duplication of subjects.
The West African Examination Council despite all the mistakes made by many students has publicly assured all students whose examination results are outstanding or pending to have patients and wait for some time for their mistakes to be corrected before they can release the WASSCE results fully.
Please share with friends and relatives to know exactly why their exams are still pending, Thank you.
