Voltarians Finally Speak About Rawlings’ Death, Plan To Embark On This Activity

Even if everyone else disowns you, home will never disown you. I must say every Ghanaian in one or another way, has reacted to the untimely demised of the first president of the Fourth Republic and founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former president Jerry John Rawlings.

People of the Volta Region have finally disclosed plans taking amidst the death of their beloved: son, uncle, nephew etc.

The late former president was born to a Voltarian mother, madam Victoria Agbotui, an Ewe from Dzelukope, Ketu.

The Ketu municipal district was one of the districts in the Volta Region of Ghana. It’s capital administrative centre was Denu.

Ketu municipal was formerly the Ketu district. It was however divided into two in February, 2008, forming new Ketu North District and Ketu South Municipal.

To that effect, Voltarians would be undertaking a memorial walk in honor of the NDC hero, founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former president Jerry John Rawlings.

In the Volta Region, this move will take place in Agbozume, Ketu South.
