Addressing the meeting on Wednesday, the Aflao overlord instructed the guests to tell government the truth as the border closure and the military deployment have negatively affected residents in his land.
“Tell the government the truth the peace begin today, not tomorrow.
“But If those who are to maintain peace, support peace, remain silent then the peace will not speak values.
“Are you expecting my people to go to Accra and buy salt, Are you expecting my people to travel to Accra and buy sugar?
“The military and paramilitary that they brought to Aflao and also this region realized that the pre-information that they received from Accra is different from what is happening on the ground but they allow you people to cross the border I can tell you,” he said.
The outspoken overlord went on to warn that chaos and anarchy loom if the military brutalities continue.
“So far as they will continue to molest my people, there will not be peace in Aflao, we will not give peace a chance, if they continue to molest my people, brutalizing my people, there will not be peace. Let me tell you today,” he said.
But the head of the European delegation Ms. Katja Lasseur, the deputy ambassador of the Netherlands embassy said in a statement: Their mission is to purposely ascertain the security of the area and have deliberation with stakeholders ahead of the poll
