Covid-19 update as of 20-11-2020: Active case count falls heavily as recoveries hit 49,000 mark

Today is just another day but the coronavirus situation of the country we call home has changed significantly. The Ghana Health Service, the body in charge of coronavirus in the country have released their latest update on the status of the virus and there have been massive changes. The show that show a significant drop in Ghana’s active case count.

According to the update Ghana has recorded 72 new covid-19 cases. This means that Ghana’s total covid-19 case count is now 50,631. Another aspect of the update has to do with covid-19 deaths and in this regard, there were no changes so total coronavirus-induced deaths remains at 323. However, Ghana’s total recoveries/discharges increased from 48,710 to 49,103 representing an increase of 393.

The active case count of Ghana experienced some significant reduction decreasing from 1,424 to 1,205 a decrease of 219. There are still 4 critical cases, 12 severe cases and 2 on ventilators according to the update. The numbers from today’s update is good and all but as the numbers keep on fluctuating every single day it is imperative, we keep following the laid down protocols. This means social distancing, eating good food, exercising regularly, frequent washing of hands among others. What do you think of today’s update?
