How The Late J. J Rawlings Met His Beautiful Wife Nana Konadu Agyemang.

Ghana’s former president Jerry John Rawlings will forever be credited for the political stability in the fourth republic and current constitution. He will be forever be reminded as one of the most revered statesman the country can be proud of.

The late Jerry John Rawlings was married to Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings. The couple is blessed with four children of whom one is the current MP for the Klottey-Korley constituency in the Greater Accra region, Zenator Agyemang Rawlings. In this article, we zoom into how J.J met his beautiful wife Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

The beautiful pair met in Achimota school but was never close or meet each other but the former president deployed this tactic and it worked for him, maybe the guys reading this can also copy it.

Jerry Rawlings was brought up as a Catholic but because of his love for a young and beautiful girl she ditched his religion to a protestant church. He confess this himself when addressing students in his home region.

“I was a Catholic, she was a protestant, but because I wanted to be close enough to her, I left catholic church to go and joined the protestant church” he said

After joining the church, he later joined the protestant choir because the young Nana Konadu Agyemang and her friends were members. Konadu and his friends were later kick out of the choir leaving young J.J alone.

“I don’t know what the young lady and her friends did wrong. They kicked out by the music teacher so I was stuck in there and I was wondering what I could also do to get kicked out” he revealed.

J.J continued that in those days, it took him close to five years to be able to hold her hands and after he joined the air force and became a pilot officer and had to remove his cap and scrub her mother’s car before he could say ‘hello’ to her. But the story changed one Sunday when he invited Konadu out and she accepted which was surprise to him.

“Anyways, that lady many years became my wife and thus the story really just began” he added that when addressing the students.

They got married in 1997
