Candice Modiselle’s proverb of the week
“’Beautiful beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.’ As to exactly who that quote is from, I don’t quite remember. I’m just going to keep it miscellaneous for now, but it’s beautiful. ‘Beginnings are often disguised as painful endings,’ and it’s a bittersweet truth of new beginnings. And we need to open ourselves up to the blessing of new chapters, of new seasons, because everything, like I say, happens for a reason, a season, a blessing, and a lesson.”
Zinoleesky on what inspired debut EP ‘Chrome’ and its visuals
Zinoleesky: “There’s this game I play, GTA.”
Cuppy: “Yeah, Grand Theft Auto? I admittedly play that…”
Zinoleesky: “There’s a car in the game that has this chrome color I like. I was in love with that car.”
Zinoleesky on releasing music with Naira Marley
“We have some projects going on, going on, going on, and then I’m on my own.”
Zinoleesky on being signed to Naira Marley’s label, Marlian Records
“Being signed to Marlian Music is, trust me, an experience like no other. Because Naira Marley doesn’t take us an artist, this is like his brother, or his brother like his family. So, you know it’s a family thing, he’s a very intellectual person that looks at all angles, spiritually every angle left, morally. I think I’m in a perfect place, perfect place, and I’m very happy I made that decision.”
