Ant and Dec will host a virtual assembly to address children’s concerns around the pandemic.
Presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have teamed up with NSPCC to give an online address on Tuesday (23 February) alongside David Walliams. The event will be streamed on the NSPCC’s Facebook page at 10am.
The TV hosts will speak to the nation’s children about any worries they may have around coronavirus while teaching them facts they need to keep safe.
Topics covered will include not being able to see family and friends, spending more time online and changes in daily routines.
McPartlin said: “After what has been an incredibly difficult start to the year for many young people, we feel privileged to once again be hosting the NSPCC’s virtual assembly for children and their families.”
“We hope we can remind children that they don’t have to just carry their worries with them,” Donnelly added. “They can always speak to someone they trust if they’re feeling sad, overwhelmed, or unsafe.”
The talk comes as part of the NSPCC’s Speak Out Stay Safe initiative, which usually takes place in primary schools.
