GGC 2v2 tournament kicks off in style

The wait is finally over. The GGC 2 v 2 tournament, first of it’s kind, took a center stage at the glamorous Sumsang show room off the Spintex road.

The first five teams in group A set the ball rolling. Game Africa, GL Legends, Ruutz , Falcons and Team Alpha were all looking to book their places in the semifinals.

The Falcons made a mark as they were just too good for the other four teams; they love to have fun with the ball. It was so exciting to watch with how silky and inferior they make their opponents look. It was so evident that they became the best team with 12 points and *none conceded saw them lead the pack on top in group A

GL legends started well but had to drop valuable points along the line. That did not matter as they joined Falcons as the two top teams to make it into the last four. *Team Alpha was the whipping boys of the group, after conceding 12 goals* and scoring just one was clearly one of the worst results seen in the history of GGC.

Though team Alpha had St. Starson, the 2nd runner up of the previous Golden Hour edition, didn’t come to the party. His team didn’t even pick a point as they bowed out from the tournament in a shocking manner.

All is done for group A, the competition in group B will kickoff next weekend on the 20th of March 2021.
