Namibia Football Association (NFA) released a statement on Monday confirming that their crunch match against Chad has been canceled following Chad’s suspension.

NFA said according to CAF rules, Namibia will get three points from the forfeited match in line with the football governing body FIFA statutes which stipulate that Chad’s suspension results in that country incurring a loss in the scheduled match.

CAF also released a supporting statement saying, “Following the suspension of the Chadian Football Federation by the Chadian Ministry of Youth and Sports, CAF has decided to disqualify the national team of Chad from the qualifiers of Total African Cup of Nations 2021.”

According to CAF, the suspension of Chad will see scheduled qualifier matches between Namibia (match 106) and Mali (match 130) for AFCON 2021 is canceled.
